Use Case

AI for Proactive Management of Tourist Flows

ABSTRACT
We predict and anticipate visitor flows to specific sites or entire municipalities by combining Generative AI and Advanced Analytics.

Where: Italy
Mission
Tourism flow management is often reactive and based on historical data, using tools that are inflexible or hard to interpret. Public authorities struggle to foresee overtourism scenarios, allocate resources efficiently, or tailor their services to visitor needs.
Solution

The solution enables decision-makers to simulate future scenarios, explore territorial dynamics, and proactively manage service offerings, leveraging insights delivered through GenAI Virtual Agents.

Using the Virtual Agent’s conversational interface, operators can request forecasts of future tourist flows, analyze trends by area and time period, compare different scenarios, and identify potential issues. AI simplifies data interpretation, suggests actions, and supports the planning of events, mobility, and hospitality services.
