Sustainability: The Centrality of ESG Policies in Corporate Strategies

Engineering meets POLIMI Graduate School of Management students.

In today’s AI‑driven world, responsible innovation is no longer optional: it requires making conscious trade‑offs between performance, sustainability, and societal impact.

With the workshop “Sustainability: The Centrality of ESG Policies in Corporate Strategies” Engineering will meet POLIMI Graduate School of Management students from around the world who have chosen Milan as a launching pad for the next step of their international careers. Together, participants will spend a morning exploring how an ESG perspective can guide business decisions in the age of AI.

The workshop is open to students from all GSoM Master’s programs, reflecting sustainability’s role as a truly cross‑functional priority for organizations, investors, and clients alike.

Led by Laura Polenghi, ESG Senior Manager, and Jacopo Bartoli, Data Science Advisor, the hybrid session will begin with an introduction to Eng's approach to sustainability, followed by an interactive, cross‑functional, team‑based exercise designed to help participants assess both the opportunities and the risks that AI can create for businesses.
