Use Case

Improving the efficiency of aqueducts with IoT and artificial intelligence

The use of innovative technologies to identify and mitigate water losses in aqueducts.

Where: Italy
Mission
Enabling integrated water cycle operators to initiate active leak control, access KPI reports for calculating ARERA indicators, and have integrated data from diverse sources to support decision-making. Additionally, enabling the management of customized alarms and machine learning tools for network management (pressures, leaks).
Solution
A Composable Platform that enables the acquisition and centralization of information, leak localization, real-time data sharing, predictive analysis of network deterioration, prioritization and management of interventions, calculation of indicators, and reporting on leaks.
Actions
  • Making the entire water distribution chain more transparent and easier to monitor through IoT, ensuring timely and systematic identification of infrastructure deficiencies and reliable management of remote assets.
  • Managing active leak control with What-if scenarios for predicting and anticipating service disruptions.
