Municipia is enhancing the SMART GERI module with AI and advanced mathematical models to optimize debt collection planning and control, boosting revenue and margins while cutting costs and time.

Mission
The debt collection process is influenced by numerous variables: type of revenue, age of the debt, geographic area, taxpayer solvency, and the entity’s policies. Managing these complexities manually makes it difficult to maximize results and minimize costs. The goal is to equip entities with a predictive and optimizing tool capable of dynamically adapting to real variables and providing constantly updated and effective strategies.
Solution
The new SMART extension introduces the AI Driven Planning & Control module, based on Monte Carlo simulations and optimization algorithms (e.g., Ant Colony Optimization). The system is capable of:
- simulating collection scenarios with high reliability
- estimating costs, timeframes, effectiveness, and profitability of different processes
- identifying the most effective strategies in real time
- dynamically updating forecasts based on actual results (continuous control logic).
The solution also enables categorization of SMART reasons, management of more complex processes, and provides operators with transparent, data-driven projections.
