The objective is to make the process of managing and archiving quality certificates fully digital and automated, transforming a manual, slow, and error-prone workflow into an efficient, reliable system fully integrated with the SAP ecosystem. This enables improved compliance, ensures full document traceability, and significantly reduces the operational burden on quality control functions.
Solution
To address these needs, an approach based on SAP Document AI is introduced, capable of reading certificates in any format and automatically extracting relevant data. The workflow is integrated with SAP S/4HANA for inspection lot reconciliation and supported by a UI5-based interface that enables simple and guided document management. In the advanced version, the system also supports storing quality inspection results and digitally archiving certificates directly within the ERP.
