Improved operational efficiency and water service quality at ASA Livorno with MDM Water
×
ABSTRACT
With Neta MDM Water, ASA SpA optimizes operational processes, reduces costs, and improves service accuracy and responsiveness for more effective water network management.
Where: Italy
ASA SpA is the water service provider for the Tuscany Coast area, managing over 160,000 supply points and serving approximately 360,000 residents across 32 municipalities. ASA launched a network digitalization program through the large-scale adoption of smart meters to improve meter reading acquisition processes, reduce complaints and water losses, and enhance the efficiency and timeliness of billing based on actual consumption.
Approach
The Neta project team adopted a structured approach: functional assessment, integration analysis, configuration of the Neta MDM Water platform, and integration of the solution into ASA’s existing application landscape.
The project was delivered through progressive release phases — analysis, integrations, end-to-end testing, training, and gradual go-live — ensuring that all objectives were achieved within the planned timelines.
The implemented solution is based on the Neta Metering Data Management (MDM Water) application module, the platform for the centralized management of metering data from heterogeneous smart metering technologies (NB-IoT, LoRa, Walk-by/Drive-by), regardless of meter brand or size.
