Challenge
The Palermo Municipal Water Company (AMAP) needed to improve its management system in terms of security and overall performance, ensure payment compliance, and address a specific issue related to accounting reconciliation activities, aiming to reduce risks associated with partial and/or incorrect bill payments.
Approach
Thanks to the Net@PAY solution, since December 2020, AMAP has benefited from a fully cloud-based, flexible, and scalable service capable of adapting to customer needs in terms of both managed volumes and guaranteed load peaks.
Solution
The solution ensures seamless intermediation with the PagoPA system, offering an integrated and highly cost-effective management approach that reduces manual errors and improves the payment collection process. Today, AMAP knows exactly—before the payment is made—the payment timing, collection fees, and the exact amount due to the Creditor Entity. Since the beginning of this year, approximately 150,000 bills have already been issued through the PagoPA system. The new process will enable effective management of a large customer base, with around 205,000 users served, covering a population of 1.2 million residents.
