We developed a platform for E.ON Italia based on Net@ (a solution entirely developed in Italy), approved by E.ON Deutschland, to manage metering, billing, and credit processes in the gas and power sectors.

Challenge
E.ON Italia is a key player in the Italian energy services market, managing over 900,000 supply points. The company faced complex challenges due to the heterogeneity of its application infrastructure, which required a simplification of operational processes to improve service quality and reduce time-to-market for new offers.
Approach
Engineering contributed its extensive experience and deep knowledge of the Italian energy market and its business processes. Key elements included a thorough understanding of the constantly evolving regulatory framework and its impact on application solutions, as well as the strong relationship of trust and alignment that gradually developed with the client.
Solution
The DA.Vinci Project lasted 20 months and involved E.ON representatives from several countries, with the goal of providing global governance and supporting implementation activities, creating an interesting and innovative multicultural team mix. Critical aspects such as the migration and harmonization of historical data from five different information systems were managed effectively, ensuring a smooth go-live and adherence to billing schedules. The DA.Vinci Project enabled E.ON Italia to achieve a significant competitive advantage, strengthening its position as a leader in the Italian energy services market.
