Challenge
To create a billing system capable of serving a customer base of approximately 20,000 LPG meters, delivered through around one hundred piped networks required to supply liquefied gas to small communities not covered by the natural gas distribution grid. It was to address this challenge that a leading Power/Gas sales company turned to Engineering for support.
Approach
The required solution must be cloud-native, quickly adapt to regulatory changes in the sector, comply with cybersecurity requirements, and cover the entire 'contact-to-cash' process for operators responsible for reading residential meters.
Solution

Per rispondere alle esigenze del cliente, Engineering ha adottato la sua Utilities Digital Platform Cloud Edition (inclusi i moduli Net@ CRM Operazionale, Metering, Billing e Incassi/Credito), integrata con la componente FSM per la lettura dei contatori sul campo tramite l’app mobile di Geocall, erogata in modalità SaaS dai nostri Centri Technology & Cloud Services.

Il progetto prevede anche integrazioni con i sistemi SAP (per lo scarico delle contabilizzazioni), con i sistemi di stampa e con il sistema di interscambio SDI per la fatturazione elettronica, attraverso l’erogazione di servizi di IT Consulting e Mobile Applications.

La nostra soluzione copre la fase di distribuzione per le attività di metering-to-cash e gestione della forza lavoro sul campo, integrandosi anche con le componenti di accounting e logistica di SAP. Il Competence Center di Engineering esegue da remoto i servizi di Regulatory Compliance e manutenzione normativa, adeguandosi tempestivamente a ogni aggiornamento fiscale.
