Smart Energy & Utilities
Approach & Solution
Approach
The research project BRIGHT realizes a multi-timescale DR strategy that works from a day-ahead scheduling up to real-time adaptive control.
Solution
It uses: Digital Twins for consumers predictability, multi-layered P2P, DLT/blockchain/smart contracts based on semi-decentralized Vitural Power Plants (VPP), value stacking flexibility management algorithms and other AI data-driven energy and non energy services. This approach is validated in 4 demo-sites across 4 EU countries where 1000 residential consumers will be engaged.
Engineering is the Project Coordinator and the Technology provider, in particular blockchain enablers for decentralised VPP. The project has received co-funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 programme - Contract No. 957816
