Open Fiber is a wholesale operator that is building a nationwide fiber optic infrastructure for ultra-broadband fixed network connectivity.
The need to monitor energy consumption and related spending of their sites and vehicles, in order to take the best actions for optimizing management, led the client to launch a tender for the development of a Cost and Energy Consumption Management System.
Engineering, together with technology partner Ouvert, participated in the competition and won first place.
The chosen methodology for implementation is "hybrid" with incremental releases and periodic demos.

Solution
The project is based on the Energy Invoice Management solution "EBILL", a cloud service that centralizes and automates complex and time-consuming activities such as consumption verification, validation of received invoices, and future cost forecasting through its Energy Data Intelligence engine.
The system, properly configured by product experts and Engineering consultants with a high impact on core business issues, will track the correct application of supply terms and conditions and invoice-related components, identify consumption anomalies, and produce specific analyses according to user requirements.
The goal is to monitor energy performance, evaluate CO2 emissions, and define and implement efficiency improvement actions to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
